The Golden Mill has been a community gathering place for generations – since its early days in the 1860s as the town’s mill and feed store. Now, our innovative food hall, located in a historic building, brings revitalized energy to downtown Golden while fully embracing Colorado’s laid-back, welcoming nature with our creekside and rooftop patios, plus live local music and events for all ages.

History of The Golden Mill
The Golden Mill wasn’t always the hangout spot in town that it is now. Believe it or not, this hub for social gatherings was originally founded as a flour mill back in 1864. The millers hauled and sold flour to nearby mining towns like Black Hawk, Central City, Georgetown, and Idaho Springs. It then evolved into a feed store for livestock in 1954.
When The Golden Mill Feed Store went up for sale in 2018, a few Golden locals knew the space had the potential for more. Together, these friends saved the local iconic landmark to “do something great for the Golden community.” Thus the opportunity for a new, re-imagined Golden Mill was born.
We are honored to bring this special building back to life and ensure it remains a beacon in our community for decades to come.
